Suzanne Palmlund

Suzanne grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Before moving to Dallas, Suzanne spent 14 years in Atlanta where she was vice president of Ridgeview Institute. During those years, Suzanne was very active in marketing, fundraising and in promoting charities for the community. Suzanne and her husband, David Palmlund, have 5 children and 6 grandchildren and have been residents of Swiss Avenue since 1984. They lived at 5007 Swiss Avenue for ten years and now reside at 5323 Swiss Avenue. Suzanne’s motivation for starting the Swiss Avenue Women’s Guild in 1995 was to bring together the residents of our 106 homes that span eight long blocks. (4900 to 6000 Swiss Avenue). With the other founding members, Martha Novorr and Vanessa Hoffmann, they envisioned that they could become more than just neighbors and could form lasting friendships. Suzanne has always believed that we should actively promote the neighborhood and has acquired 18 years of research dating back to the first house (1905). Suzanne is truly a friend to the Swiss Avenue Women’s Guild and is one of the first to welcome every new family on the street. From the original 50 founding members to those many new residents whose lives have been enriched through membership in the Guild, we thank Suzanne for turning her vision into a reality.
