story 4-Square/Praire. Tan brick. Tan metal tile roof.
Low hip triangular pediment. Unusually shaped lights in
sunroom and dormers; same design is repeated in fence
on lot to the left. Gothic arched windows in door and
side lights. Cast stone ornament over main windows. Full
width open raised terrace. Recesses one story wing on
left w/visor roof. |

Schepps, owner of Schepps' Bakery, built this residence
in 1920 for $15,000. In 1923 Dr. John Bourland, a well-known
obstetrician and inventor of the incubator for premature
infants, moved to the home. |
