Two
story Mediterranean villa. Tan brick. Slate roof. hip
roof; deep overhang; brackets; three dormers w/hip roofs.
Off center pavilion on left w Palladian motif on recessed
entry portico; tiled portico w/arched door; Doric columns
w/pilasters; relief ornament. Corresponding two story
pavilion on right. Second floor balcony w/brackets and
iron rail. Heraldic badges. Main windows are arched French
door. Recessed two story porte cochere on left; arches,
stucco, columns and stone badges. Recessed two story wing
on right has similiar tirm. |

This home was originally built for the Alphonso Ragland
family. After Mr. Ragland was killed in an automobile
accident in the 1950's, his daughter lived in the house
until 1976. The family leased the house to Salesmanship
Club, which used it as a home for wayward boys. |
