DESCRIPTION:
Two story Prairie w/eclectic details. red brick. Slate roof. Low hip roof w/Palladian window dormer; exposed rafters. Arched entry door w/ornamental plaster details. Arched stair landing window springing from a basin; diamond shaped panes. Recessed two story wing on left behind open terrace. Recessed two story wing on right.
OF INTEREST: This house was built by Harold Faber for $14,500. Unable to sell the house, which was built on a speculative basis, Mr. Faber and his wife lived in it. This home was later the residence of Judge John A. Rawlins, who presided over the 116th Judicial District Court of Dallas County for 20 years.
